Governmental Funding

Federal, country and local governments offer various types of financing that range from grants, loans, and scholarships to tax incentives.

Grants: Funds provided by the government that don’t have to be repaid

Subsidies: Aid funds that are managed by national and regional authorities

Loans: A lump sum repaid over a fixed time

Guarantees: a promise the government gives you so that you are able to pursue your business

Equity: Where the government invests in your business

Prizes: to winners of Horizon Europe contests as a form of financial assistance to support EU policies and programmes
