Institutions & Initiatives
SME Development in Armenia (SMEDA)
SMEDA is financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The project aims to improve the business & investment climate in Armenia as well as support the creation of small and medium businesses. SMEDA offers grants up to 50 000 € for startups. The Armenian Startup Academy was created by SMEDA.
Science and Technology Angels Network (STAN)
A non-formal Science & Tech network of business angels which was created in 2018. The network contains investors and entrepreneurs from Armenia, Russia and the USA. The focus is on microelectronics, data science and IT, biotechnologies, advanced materials.
Business Angel Network (BANA)
They provide a platform for investors to meet and cooperate with their peers and foster exchange.
